A Long-Term Grant Funding Aptos Builders

AvesHack will provide a long-term funding program for Aptos teams and developers through our Grant Program! We will award winners cash prizes on a rolling basis until the $100K prize pool is fully distributed. Throughout this journey, we hope to continue to support top projects and builders who have the potential to drive growth and traction in the Move ecosystem.

Timeline

*** Our 1st Round of Grants will conclude on ~Dec 16th. We will distribute $20k total to top teams in round 1 of funding.

  • Project Submission: September 20th ~ long-term
  • Judging [Round 1]: December 16th — 19th
  • Winner’s Announcements: December 16th — 19th
  • Demo Day: December 19th — 31st (dependent on availability during the holiday season)

Future Round Timelines:

  • Round 1: Sep 20 — Dec 16, 2022
  • Round 2: Dec 16 — Feb 16, 2023
  • Round 3: Feb 16 — Apr 16, 2023

Eligibility

  • All projects based on Move Language with a wish to shine on Aptos ecosystem can enter this hackathon
  • All participating projects need to submit:
    ○ A complete deck or doc for critical elements such as project introduction, business model, vision and road map, and your team.
    ○ A video demo for the project
    ○ A GitHub repository with all the code and a Document with instructions for the reviewers to try the project.

Assessment Criteria and Judging

Project Categories/Examples

  • Proven DeFi projects, including DEX, Staking, Lending, Oracles, Infrastructure
  • DeFi trading protocols (ie. perpetuals/derivatives exchanges, options trading, etc.)
  • Decentralized Identity (DID) solutions on chain
  • Tooling, infrastructure, and virtual machine implementations for subnets
  • Cross-chain bridge
  • Derivatives and faster trading patterns
  • NFT and NFT marketplace
  • Privacy solutions including DID
  • GameFi&SocialFi
  • Wallets and development tools

Judging Criteria:

  • Idea Viability: Does the project solve a real problem effectively with a strong degree of impact on the market.
  • Ecological Contribution: Will the launch of this product significantly benefit the Aptos ecosystem and/or drive users, TVL, or traction.
  • Creativity: How innovative is the project compared to existing solutions in the market.
  • Technical Difficulty: Is this technology complex and comprehensive, requiring deep domain knowledge in the market.
  • Design: How does this dApp perform and how well is it built.

Prize Allocation

*** Top projects that have received prior grant fundings can receive awards throughout multiple rounds assuming continued and tangible development updates. Projects will be expected to update their BUIDL’s via our hackathon partner (@DoraHacks) in following rounds to be reconsidered for prizes.

  • Projects will be distributed to the winning teams and grant amount will be based on the judges feedback.
  • Prize winners will be selected based on judging feedback, criteria, and current stage of development.
